This is the first illustration in a world of my own creation: Idols. The painting features a witch, crowned Queen of a dying forest. Her body hosts black moths attracted to the magical light within her soul, the last in the forest. They hum a tune as all seems to fade: magic lies beneath the darkness.

This forest witch cried out for more detail and I answered the call. Illustrations definitely have a life of their own, and so of course, a piece of art is never truly finished.
